Yunnan Baiyao Herbal Powder

Solstice Medicine

Yunnan Bai Yao is a super famous remedy used widely across Asia to stop bleeding fast, speed up wound healing, and reduce swelling. Once carried by Chinese soldiers in battle, its formula was kept as a state secret. Used today by martial artists, doctors, and medics, it’s the go-to for cuts, bruises, and recovery.

10 years ago, a glass light fixture shattered over my head. A shard sliced deep into my arm, through to the fat layer. I grabbed a bottle of this herbal powder, poured half of it into the wound, wrapped it, and took off to urgent care. The doctor was stunned. He couldn’t believe a cut that deep had stopped bleeding so fast. As he stitched me up, he kept saying how “impressive” the wound looked. He even asked me the name of the powder and whether it had  studies on it. By the next day, I had zero pain. The scar always reminds me of the power of TCM.
